About Dzukou Valley: Dzukou Valley is an amazing place to trek and camp, Camping here at the lush green valley gives you the best feeling, Dzukou Valley is easily accessible, that anyone can come and trek in the valley, Dzukou Valley is a valley located in borders of the state of Nagaland and Manipur in northeast India. This valley is well known for its natural environment, seasonal flowers, and flora and fauna. There are two routes to reach the place. one is zakhama route and another one is the Biswema route. The ascend from the Zakhama route is tougher and harder. If one loves hardcore trek and adventure, then he/she must opt for this route. It's worth the toil. One can get captivating views of dense tropical rain forest over this route. on the other hand, the Biswema route is competitively easier as it's steep only for a stretch of 45minutes to 1hour. Everybody can more or less access to this route quite easily. It takes 6/7hours to reach dzukou point via the Zakhama route while via the Biswema route it takes 4/5 hours. On Dzukou point there is only one dormitory.


The thing to remember when you visit Dzukou Valley:

There are plenty of dustbins along the way. Make sure to use them to throw your trash out while walking. carry gloves and raincoat, required INNER LINE PERMIT for entry into Naga Hills.

 

How to reach: Dzukou valley can be approached from two: Jakhama and Viswema, which are the base camps. Jakhama is about 20 kilometers from Kohima and Viswema about 25 kilometers away from Kohima. From Tinsukia to Jakhama its 397km, from Guwahati to Jakhama its 384. Nearest Airport: The closest airport is Dimapur Airport which is around 74 km away from Kohima. also can be accessible by Guwahati Airport, and Dibrugarh Airport.

 

The valley is a popular camping spot for local tourists, and when we were there it remains overcrowded. So it's best to stay in the camp. y. If you ask nicely you can probably join such a camp if you want to only if the supplies remain continued, then pork Curry. The food is served on a first come first serve basis. It is advisable that one should try to avoid the stay at the overcrowded Dom. Instead one can stay in a tent on the helipad ground. Bring your own inflatable mattress, Simple breakfast and dinner are also available.

Dzukou Valley is also a great place to camp. There are several natural campsites in the valley.
